New in Portfolio: Calligraphy over Photos
A few weeks ago I came across this beautiful wedding shot by Petr Ovralov that inspired me to create two calligraphy pieces on top of it.
A few weeks ago I came across this beautiful wedding shot by Petr Ovralov that inspired me to create two calligraphy pieces on top of it. It all started with a flourished word Love but then I decided to write one of my favorite Cummings' poems “I carry your heart with me.”
When working with a poem I prefer to keep the original text with no modifications at all but in this case, it was hard to manage the line lengths. In order to achieve a nice flowing texture of my writing, I had to use my artistic license and modify some of the line breaks. With this being said, I hope that Cummings' fans will forgive me such an informal interpretation of this poem.
